We LOVE Valentine's Day around here! Yes, I'm still trying to catch up this poor, neglected blog! I have been blessed with the three most handsome Valentines in the whole wide world!!

My Valentine's Day decor!

Little surprises for the boys on Valentine's Day morning! My mom always gave us little treats next to our cereal bowls on the mornings of holidays. It is a fun little tradition that I will continue with our children. 

V-Day is not complete without a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's!

Moore's Creek Battlefield!

One neat thing about living in North Carolina is exploring the rich history of our area. In 1776, there was a battle near Wilmington in an area later named Moore's Creek Battlefield. It was so interesting learning about this American Revolutionary War battle. We went with our favorite North Carolinians, the McLeod family!

Sweet Ashton fell asleep on the ride to the battlefield. I love those long lashes on those precious cheeks! 

They did a great job of recreating the set-up before the battle. Unfortunately, they can no long reenact the battle because things have gotten out of hand when guns are fired.

Beckham only lets a select few people hold him, so you know you are a favorite if he stays longer than a few seconds. He loves Mike!

After walking around the battlefield we came inside and looked around the museum.

Our boys thought this was so cool and Ashton is so small he could just slide his head in and out!

Beckham's head is a little bigger than Ashton's (haha!) but he still enjoyed being locked in!

We stopped for ice cream to end a wonderful day!!

The BIG 30!!!!!

You guys. I am so behind on my blogging but I don't want to forget a thing! We are rewinding back to January!

The most exciting part of January was NELSON'S 30TH BIRTHDAY!!! He didn't want a party (lame-o!) so the boys and I just spoiled him! Truthfully, I am grateful he just wanted to spend time with me and the boys. We save the fun parties for the kids! :)

A new pillow!! We searched and searched for a luxurious pillow. We even tried one out and kept it in the packaging(thankfully) and then took it back because it was just a little too fluffy. 

We went out to Applebee's for dinner and then came home for cake and ice cream. We sure do LOVE our Daddy!!

I love the relationship that is evolving between Ashton and Beckham. In the midst of folding clothes, I looked up to see my two boys sitting together with their hats on. It might just be because I am their mom, but they are just the CUTEST to me!
