It's-a-me, Mario!!!!!

Introducing: A mushroom, Mario, Princess Peach and Luigi!!

We had quite the eventful Halloween this year thanks to Hurricane Sandy!! Thankfully, our first hurricane experience was very mild. We got lots of wind and rain, but nothing too severe. Our church Trunk-or-Treat wasn't cancelled, but all the activities were moved indoors and the kids had to "trick-or-treat" in classrooms instead of the regular car trunks. We still had a blast, especially Ashton!

We refuse to pay retail price for costumes and enjoy making our Halloween costumes every year. We couldn't find a green hat for Beckham, so we dyed a white shirt and hat for his costume.
We also dyed Nelson's mushroom hat red. Since the boys' heads are so small, Nelson sewed the hats so they would fit them. He is truly a man of MANY talents!!

They filled a huge bin full of corn for the kids to play in at the church. This was Ashton and Beckham's favorite activity!! Nelson spoke at a baptism right before the Trunk-or-Treat, which is why he is wearing a tie. :)
Cute boys!!

Ashton was also obsessed with this game! He has pretty good aim and loved throwing the bean bags in the pumpkin's mouth.

Hello, Luigi!! We were a little worried that Beckham wouldn't keep his hat on, but he was so entertained and distracted by all the excitement he forgot he even had a hat on his head!

And here is Mario! We practiced saying, "It's-a-me, Mario!" He is the cutest Mario I've ever seen!

Their little mustaches crack me up!!

Mario Brothers!

I sure LOVE these boys!! Beckham is only 10 months old and can stand alone and take 5-9 steps all by himself. SLOW DOWN, MISTER!!

Ashton eating some M&Ms after a fun night!
Ashton loves putting the hats on and insists everyone wears their hat together!

We went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood on Halloween night and it was probably one of the best nights of Ashton's life! He was BEYOND excited to go trick-or-treating and our normally shy, timid boy was very outgoing around people he didn't know!

Creepy teeth!!

Ashton helped me make these cute chocolate-dipped pretzel ghosts for our neighbors and the ladies I visit teach!
We let Ashton pick a face to carve in our pumpkin and he picked a scary one!!
I just love traditions!

Eek!!!
Happy Halloween!!

Just for fun, here is our family throughout the years!
Halloween 2009, football players with the CUTEST football!
Halloween 2010, Safari goers with an adorable LION!

Halloween 2011, a 7-month pregnant cowgirl and two handsome cowboys!
